STUDENT BUS SERVICE
AAS does not provide home to school bus services directly. Bus services are contracted between families (or in some cases companies and embassies) and service providers. The school does maintain a cooperation agreement with Transport Link Service (TLS), which has proved to be reliable over the years, however, parents are free to make arrangements with any transportation provider they wish.

No charge if not satisfied after one week trial of service.
Now with a bus monitor on board!
School year 2010/2011 marks our 7th year of service to AAS. - We pick your kids up and drop them off at safe, individually agreed upon locations - whenever possible right at your door.
- We tailor our service to each student’s individual needs, including their afterschool activities.
- At any time during the ride, you can contact our drivers. If you need to get in touch with your children or unexpectedly alter your pick-up/drop-off instructions, the driver is just a phone call away.
- SY 2007/2008 in response to parents' request, we introduced afternoon bus monitors (chaperones).
- Try our service for free and see if it works for you. We provide a complimentary one week trial of our service.
Students like to ride the bus more than being alone in a driver's car. Parents like the cost savings when compared to individual drivers. And - we're an ecological plus! Call us to see how your location fits into our routes. We give discounts to big families. Try us for a few days first!
Your peace of mind is of the utmost importance to us, that’s why we welcome any suggestions that you might have on how to make our service more safe, efficient and comfortable for both students and their parents. We want to thank all the parents whose ideas helped us improve our service in the past.
HISTORY
TLS began as an attempt of Bill Pigman, an American businessman who’s been doing business in Russia since 1994, to get his son Lincoln to school with minimal pain and waste of time. After trying the limited available transportation options during Lincoln’s first year at AAS and finding them not quite satisfactory, Bill accepted the challenge of the AAS administration and launched a bus service for the school's students.
Now Bill is no longer suffering in traffic on the way back from school in the morning hours, and Lincoln isn't staring at the back of their personal driver’s head getting bored out of his wits. The bus service allows Bill mornings to himself and gives Lincoln and his new friends a good time on the way to and from school.
On the first day of the 2004/2005 school year our service had only two clients. After just one week there was not enough room on the bus for all who wanted to join the service, and a second route was launched. By the end of the school year 2004/2005 we took care of more than twenty AAS families and supplied transportation to 24 AAS teachers who reside at the Kutuzovsky compound.
In addition, the Pokrovsky Hills housing development, located right next door to the AAS, hired us to replace their shuttle services contractor, and since March 2005 we’ve been providing transportation services for the Pokrovsky Hills community as well as AAS. Recently we integrated the AAS & Pokrovsky Hills shuttle services, enabling AAS and PH badge holder to use each other's shuttle routes to and from Sokol, Tushinskaya and Oktryabrskoye Pole metro stations. This integration significantly increased the route's frequency and capacity and is a great benefit to both communities.
